Article Date: November 10, 2010 Source and Title: KidsPost Newspaper-“Local Puppy Hero” On November 10, 2010 I read an article about a girl who saved two puppies from a car crash. The car crash happened on Tuesday November 9, 2010. The girl’s name was Penny. Penny is from Laurel, Maryland, but the car crash took place at her grandmother’s house in Silver Spring. Penny was outside playing with her friends when she noticed a car had rolled down a hill on her grandmother’s street. She said she was scared but noticed that there was a dog in the car, so she ran after the car. After the car stopped she opened the door and noticed a mother dog and her puppies. Penny rescued the dogs and called 911. The owner of the car had forgotten to put the car in park and it rolled down the hill. I thought this was a really exciting story. I also think that Penny is very brave for running after that car. Penny took a big risk that I don’t think I would have taken. She was actually a little careless for running after a car. She could have been injured. She must really love dogs.
